1tablespoonhoney or maple syrup (optional for extra sweetness)
1pinchsalt
Instructions
Start by peeling the bananas. Using a sharp knife or mandoline, slice them thinly into rounds, approximately 1/8 inch thick.
In a mixing bowl, combine the melted coconut oil, ground cinnamon, honey (if you desire extra sweetness), and a pinch of salt. Stir the mixture thoroughly until it is well blended.
Carefully add the sliced bananas to the bowl. Gently toss them in the cinnamon-coconut mixture, ensuring each slice is evenly coated.
Preheat your air fryer to 350°F (175°C).
Once preheated, arrange the banana slices in a single layer in the air fryer basket. Avoid overcrowding.
Air fry the banana slices for about 10-12 minutes, flipping them halfway through the cooking time.
After the cooking time is up, remove the banana chips from the air fryer and let them cool completely.
If you aren't enjoying the banana chips immediately, store them in an airtight container.
Notes
For an attractive presentation, serve in a decorative bowl and sprinkle with extra cinnamon.
