hearty whole grain bread

butter or high-quality olive oil

Instructions
Begin by preheating your air fryer to 320°F (160°C) for approximately 5 minutes.
Spread a thin, even layer of butter or olive oil on one side of each slice of bread.
Place the slices of bread into the air fryer basket with the buttered side facing upwards.
Crack an egg onto each slice of bread, keeping the yolk intact.
Season the eggs with salt and freshly cracked black pepper, then sprinkle the shredded cheese on top.
Air fry the toast for 8-10 minutes, checking at the 6-minute mark for desired yolk doneness.
Remove the toast from the air fryer and allow it to cool for a minute.
Garnish with chopped fresh herbs and add hot sauce or chili flakes if desired.
Notes
Serve with a side of sliced avocado or cherry tomatoes for added freshness.
