1
teaspoon

1
cup
cream cheese, cut into small cubes (optional)
to taste
powdered sugar for dusting before serving
Instructions
Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9x13 inch baking dish with butter or cooking spray.
In a large mixing bowl, vigorously whisk together the eggs, milk, maple syrup, vanilla extract, ground cinnamon, and salt until smooth.
Add the cubed bread to the egg mixture, stirring gently to coat. Allow to sit for approximately 10 minutes.
Carefully fold in the blueberries and cream cheese cubes (if using) into the soaked bread mixture.
Pour the entire mixture into the greased baking dish, spreading it out evenly. Scatter a few extra blueberries on top.
Bake for about 45-50 minutes until the top is golden brown and a knife inserted into the center comes out clean.
Remove from the oven and let cool for a few minutes before cutting into squares.
Serve warm, generously dusted with powdered sugar and drizzled with additional maple syrup if desired.
Notes
To elevate presentation, consider serving each square on a plate with a small sprig of mint alongside, adding a fresh color contrast.
