1lbground beef (or ground turkey for a lighter option)
1tablespoonextra virgin olive oil
1teaspoongarlic powder
1teaspoononion powder
1teaspoonsmoked paprika
to tastesea salt and freshly ground black pepper
4cupsmixed salad greens (a blend of lettuce, spinach, and arugula)
1cupcherry tomatoes, halved
1cupcucumber, diced into bite-sized pieces
1cupshredded sharp cheddar cheese
½cupdill pickles, sliced into rounds
½cupred onion, finely diced
¼cupketchup
¼cupyellow mustard
¼cupmayonnaise
to tasteoptional toppings: sliced jalapeños, avocado slices, crispy fried onions
Instructions
In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat until shimmering. Add the ground beef (or turkey) to the skillet, using a spatula to break it apart as it cooks. Sauté for about 8-10 minutes, or until the meat is well-browned and fully cooked.
Once the meat is browned, sprinkle in the garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, sea salt, and freshly ground black pepper. Stir the mixture to combine and cook for an additional 5 minutes, allowing the spices to meld and fragrance to develop.
While the meat is cooking, start assembling your salad base. Divide the mixed greens evenly among four bowls, creating a generous bed for the toppings.
On top of the mixed greens, layer the diced cucumber, halved cherry tomatoes, shredded sharp cheddar, sliced dill pickles, and finely chopped red onion, distributing the ingredients evenly among the bowls.
Once the meat is fully cooked, remove it from the heat and spoon it generously over the salad bases in each bowl, ensuring each serving gets an equal portion of the flavorful meat.
Drizzle ketchup, mustard, and mayonnaise over the top of the loaded burger bowls according to your taste preferences.
For an extra layer of flavor and crunch, add any optional toppings such as sliced jalapeños for heat, creamy avocado slices, or crispy fried onions for texture and taste.
Notes
Serve immediately for maximum freshness and color. Offer extra toppings on the side for customization.
