1lbbeef (flank or sirloin), thinly sliced against the grain
2cupsbroccoli florets
1wholebell pepper, colorful and sliced
3clovesgarlic, minced
1tablespoonfresh ginger, grated
3tablespoonslow-sodium soy sauce
2tablespoonsoyster sauce (or vegetarian alternative like hoisin sauce)
1tablespoonsesame oil
1tablespoonvegetable oil
1teaspoonred pepper flakes (optional for heat)
to tastenonechopped green onions and sesame seeds for garnishing
Instructions
Begin by cooking the ramen noodles according to package instructions. Once cooked, drain them thoroughly and set aside in a bowl.
In a large skillet or wok, heat the vegetable oil over medium-high heat. Add the thinly sliced beef to the skillet, arranging it in a single layer. Allow it to sear undisturbed for about 2-3 minutes; then, flip the slices to cook for an additional minute or until they are nicely browned. Remove the beef from the skillet and set aside on a plate.
In the same skillet, reduce the heat to medium and add the minced garlic and grated ginger. Sauté them for approximately 30 seconds, stirring constantly, until fragrant but not browned.
Add the broccoli florets and sliced bell pepper to the skillet. Stir-fry for about 3-4 minutes, allowing the vegetables to become tender yet still crisp, ensuring they retain their vibrant colors.
Return the cooked beef to the skillet with the vegetables. Stir to combine all ingredients evenly.
In a small bowl, whisk together the soy sauce, oyster sauce, sesame oil, and red pepper flakes. Once mixed, pour the sauce over the beef and vegetable mixture in the skillet, stirring well to coat everything in the savory sauce.
Gently add the cooked ramen noodles to the skillet. Toss the noodles together with the beef and vegetables, ensuring they are evenly coated in the sauce. Heat it all together for another 2 minutes, allowing the flavors to meld.
Dish out the savory stir fry onto plates or bowls, and garnish generously with chopped green onions and a sprinkle of sesame seeds for added texture and flavor.
