1cupmixed vegetables (such as bell peppers, onions, and mushrooms), diced
1cupcooked meats (your choice of pepperoni, ham, or cooked chicken), finely chopped
12 tablespoonsolive oil
1cupblack olives, sliced
14 tablespoonsgrated Parmesan cheese
1teaspoongarlic powder
1teaspoonItalian seasoning
to tastesalt and pepper
1eggbeaten (for egg wash)
Instructions
Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) to prepare for baking.
On a lightly floured surface, gently roll out the pizza dough into a rectangle, aiming for a thickness of about ¼ inch.
In a mixing bowl, combine the shredded mozzarella cheese, diced mixed vegetables, chopped meats, sliced black olives, grated Parmesan cheese, garlic powder, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Stir until all ingredients are well incorporated.
Evenly spoon the filling mixture onto the rolled-out pizza dough, ensuring you leave approximately a 1-inch border around the edges to facilitate sealing.
Begin at one end of the rectangle and carefully roll the dough tightly to form a log shape. Make sure to pinch and seal the ends, folding them under slightly to create a neat loaf appearance.
Position the garbage bread seam side down on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Using a brush, apply the beaten egg over the top for a beautiful, golden crust when baked.
Place in the preheated oven and bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the bread is golden brown and the dough is cooked through.
Once baked, remove the bread from the oven and allow it to cool for a few minutes before slicing into portions. Serve warm for the best flavor experience.
Notes
For an added touch, serve with a side of marinara sauce for dipping and garnish with freshly chopped herbs for an extra pop of color.
